Way to Rohtang pass
Dont remember ever getting up very early during work days, but this was a holiday, we started dead early to go to Rotang pass. We stopped at a place for hot tea, I think it was me, screaming for it as it was unbearably cold.
Manali
We finally reached Manali, and rushed to our rooms, The windows were huge and the view from the place was awesome. And we cheepos managed to get this awesome place, very clean and good food, for just Rs 4 per day (to translate it in other currencies Rs 4 = £ 0.05 = 0.06€ = $0.08), its a guest house and hence the rates were subsidized. The Vice Regal Lodge - Shimla
Priya’s father was kind enough to arrange a tour at this magnificient place. Can you believe it was the residence of the British Viceroy Lord Dufferin, a residence!! We were not allowed to click snaps inside though. Its lavish!
Vyass river
A better view of river Vyass, again on the way to Manali. Although we were dead tired from the long trip from Delhi that too in a car, we were all wide awake and active to see all this.
Pine trees
Its nice to see some places on Earth still lush green, hope our kids get to see this too. Seeing this made me remember the quote… “We do not inherit the earth from our fathers. We borrow it from our children”.
Highland Goats
Even the goats look nice on a holiday, this was on our way to Manali, shot from a car window, we were patiently waiting for the VIP convoy to pass, before we move on.

Staying in Goa I hardly get to see a view like this, we were all stunt when we saw locations after locations which were just beautiful. River Vyass flows in between.
Basilica of Bom Jesus
Located at Old Goa, its a huge tourist attaction as the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier are held here. “Bom Jesus” means “Infant Jesus” as far as I know. A public viewing of the body is held every 10 years.

Se Cathedral at Old Goa is the seat of the Archbishop of Goa
