Riders on the storm

Storm

Storm

Some say Riders on the storm is an autobiography of Jim Morrisons life. This was the last song he recorded before he died few months later.

Lester Bangs once said (and repeated in the movie “Almost Famous”) “Ah, Jim Morrison is a drunken buffoon, posing as a poet. Give me The Guess Who. They’ve got the courage to be drunken buffoons, which makes them poetic.”

The lyrics truely magical, here they go

Riders on the storm (X2)
Into this house we’re born, Into this world we’re thrown
Like a dog without a bone, An actor out alone,
Riders on the storm

There’s a killer on the road, His brain is squirmin’ like a toad
Take a long holiday, Let your children play
If ya give this man a ride, Sweet memory will die
Killer on the road, yeah

Girl ya gotta love your man (X2)
Take him by the hand, Make him understand
The world on you depends, Our life will never end
Gotta love your man, yeah, Wow!

Riders on the storm (X2)
Into this house we’re born, Into this world we’re thrown
Like a dog without a bone, An actor out alone
Riders on the storm, Riders on the storm (X5)

  1. Hi Merly, I do some touchup in the form of increasing the brightness or contrast, without changing any component of the image.
