Doesn’t it look like a scene from Indiana Jones movie where he is searching for a path to a secret temple high up in the mountains. This pass by the way is suppose to be an ancient trade route. ”Rohtang” derives its name from a Persian word which translates to “pile of dead bodies”, supposedly a very dangerous route.

We finally reached Manali, and rushed to our rooms, The windows were huge and the view from the place was awesome. And we cheepos managed to get this awesome place, very clean and good food, for just Rs 4 per day (to translate it in other currencies Rs 4 = £ 0.05 = 0.06€ = $0.08), its a guest house and hence the rates were subsidized. Courtesy Priya’s mom.
